The story of 24-year-old Reinaldo Wavegche amazed everyone in Argentina. The young man has recently married a 82-year-old woman!

Several hundreds of journalists and curious lookers-on gathered at office of civil registration in Santa Fe city to take part in the “wedding of the year”. During the ceremony Reinaldo Wavegche said to the reporters “I always preferred mature women”. And added: “ I don't care what people think about what people say”.

82-year-old Adelfa Volpes was a good friend of Reinaldo's mother who died when the boy was 15. When her friend died Adelfa took the boy to her house and brought him up.

“He was very young, just 15 years old, but virtually at the first day of our living together I realized he was my match”, Adelfa says.

Adelfa says she was the first to suggest that their relationships should imply something more than just friendship and she insists that she made this step not earlier than the boy became 18.

The couple has chosen civil ceremony because Adelfa did not want to look ridiculous wearing white dress in church.

After the ceremony Adelfa said “I am very happy. Reinaldo is nice. He is kind and affectionate, he has good manners. We do not care about difference in age” - the bride declared.

The newly married couple is going to Rio de Janeiro for honeymoon. After than Adelfa plans a journey to Spain.

Curious reporters asked Adelfa whether their relationships imply something more than platonic love. Adelfa said that not yet, but at the honeymoon they will go further.
