Indian government is planning a campaign against spread of sexually transmitted diseases in the country. Especial attention is given to villages where young people are going to be recruited to teach their peers most important things about safer sex and STDs, the worst being HIV.
In each village two young people - a man and a woman will be recruited for the next five years. Their main task is to explain to their peers what STDs are, what these diseases are fright with if untreated, what their symptoms are, how these diseases can be prevented, how to use condoms and many other important things related to safer sex.
The main goal of this campaign involving young villagers is to decrease spread of sexually transmitted diseases including the deadly virus which has already infected 5.7 people in the country. As United Nations claims this is the world's biggest number of infected people with a disease.
Officials say that distribution of condoms and TV propaganda does not have the necessary effect. Young people do need talking about such matters.
Indian officials hope to involve in campaign about Indian 20,000 villages each with 5000 people population.
This idea is really important as though safe sex rules must be known to everyone and must be followed, spread of sexually transmitted diseases is still enormous.
However these rules are quite simple, and being aware of them you can successfully prevent being infected with an STD.
Safer Sex Tips
Well, what should every person do in order to avoid STD?
1. First of all you should have only one sex partner, rather than to sleep around. But that is not all. Your partner must be faithful too. Perhaps this is the main sex safety rule. Infections pass from person to person, therefore having only one faithful sex partner is the best way to protect yourself against STDs.
2. Use a condom every single time you have sex. In spite of quite a spread opinion stating that condoms are of no use, condoms do remain the best contraceptives protecting you against STDs.
3. The best condoms are those made of latex. Latex is considered the best and the material for condoms as it is thin enough to get pleasure and at the same time very reliable. However, some people have allergy to latex. These people can use condoms made of another material, however together with these condoms a lubricant containing sperm-killing agent should be used.
4. Use only water based lubricants. The fact is that oil-based lubricants damage condoms, therefore a condom if used with an oil-based lubricant cannot be reliable enough.
5. Never share your penetrative sex toys such as dildos and vibrators. Sex toys do transmit infections if shared. However, here can be a way out. If you love sharing sex toys with your partner, than sheath the dildo or the vibrator with a condom and change the condom every time you share your sex toy with the partner.
6. Regularly visit your doctor in order to reveal sexually transmitted diseases in time. Your partner should do the same in order to make sure he or she is completely healthy.
7. If you had a casual sex contact, go to a doctor as soon as possible. The doctor will help you avoid getting infected or to treat the disease. Remember - the earlier you apply to a doctor, the more successful your treatment is going to be.
8. No sex, before an STD is treated! Otherwise the treatment is going to be of no use! You had better masturbate instead. However, even here there is a thing to take into account. If you use sex toys for masturbation, than use them with a condom. As it has been mentioned above sex toys transmit infections. With a sex toy you will be infecting yourself again and again. So use a condom for every single use of your sex toy!
As you see there is nothing too complicated about safer sex. By following the mentioned above rules you will protect yourself and your partner against sexually transmitted diseases and will stay healthy for many years. Always keep in mind - health is above all!
