Last week a wide street screen in the center of Karaj suddenly began showing porn pictures. The "show" lasted for a few minutes and made a great impression on street walkers, according to Deutsche Presse-Agentur.

Such "naughtiness" is punished severely in Iran where any kind of porn is forbidden. However, police did not manage to find those guilty.

At first police arrested a few persons who worked at the company that was responsible for the screen. However, their computers turned out not to have any "damning evidences" and all the arrested persons were released,according to Reza Zarei, chief of police of Tehran.

The pictures appeared on the screen that usually shows advertising approved by the officials. Scenes of such contacts between men and women cannot be found on TV or in magazines, so the porn pictures shocked the public.

Some people managed to make photos of the screen with their mobile phones and the pictures leaked online. This caused an enormous number of arrests that turned out to be useless – the offenders were not found.

Last Sunday police of Tehran raided shops selling illegal DVDs. Such raids do not influence the porn markets as DVDs appear in shops again and again. Films that didn't pass censorships are sold in Iranian capital for 1-2 dollars.
