Attractive people are more likely to conceive a girl, a new study suggests.
According to the study, attractive people are 26 percent more likely to conceive a girl as the first child in comparison with people who have ordinary appearance.
The results of this tendency are evident: there are much more beautiful women than handsome men. The most beautiful Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are gripped in the vice of evolutionary mechanisms that make birth of a girl almost inevitable, scientists say.
The study analyzed more than 20 thousand couples living in the USA.
The scientists defined the level of their beauty by many parameters such as height, weight, proportions of the body and others, i.e factors that can be used to value attractiveness without subjectiveness. Only the first children were taken into account.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are not the only famous couple who proves the theory (the spouses have a daughter whose name is Shiloh Nouvel). Other beautiful Hollywood couple Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Philippe also have a daughter.
The phenomenon is not limited by famous people. Less famous people also support the statistics.
